Our Values: Rooted in Tri Hita Karana

We didn't have to look far for our values. Tri Hita Karana (the ancient Balinese philosophy of three sources of wellbeing) felt like the natural foundation for everything we're building at Future Human School.

Living and learning in Bali, we feel privileged to be guided by a wisdom that has shaped this island for centuries. It’s beautifully simple: live in harmony with the spiritual world (Parahyangan), with the people around you (Pawongan) and with the natural environment (Palemahan).

These three pillars shape not just what we teach, but how we show up - as students, mentors and parents alike - as a whole community. They shape how we welcome new families, how we disagree with respect and very importantly how we celebrate together.

In the spirit of Pawongan, our parent community is an active, intentional part of school life - not just supporters on the sidelines, but co-creators of the culture we're building together. Parahyangan reminds us to act with purpose and integrity in everything we do, while Palemahan connects us to our responsibility to the natural world - from the land our school sits on to the global environmental challenges our students are actively working to solve. Tri Hita Karana isn't a concept we study - it's the foundation our school is built on.
